At Four Lane Ends Opticians we have a dedicated independent practice led by owner and optician Sue Syson along with her team of friendly and helpful optical assistants meeting the needs of the public locally in Benton and Newcastle upon Tyne.
Sue Syson - Optician
I trained at Cardiff University and qualified in 1986 when I began working for D & A at this centre. I liked the practice
so much that, I ended up buying it.
I've tried to make this practice into a true community optician's. I have lived locally since I was 15 and have known the area and its people well. I am a school governor at a local primary school and chair of the trustees at Benton Cat and Dog Shelter, which I visit regularly to help look after the bunny rabbits.

I have worked in optics
now for fourteen years. I enjoy helping our younger patients to choose their new glasses
as I am a mother myself.
Working in an independent practice is best as we can work around what our patients want rather than what the head office tells us! I also like a good chat with our local patients.
When I am not at work, I like to go on walks with my dog.
Andrea Storey
I have worked in optics since 1996. I have worked at Four Lane Ends Opticians since 2015, I briefly left for pastures new but liked it so much I came back again!
I am very sociable and like a good chat with our patients whilst picking their new glasses.
When I am not at work I enjoy socialising with my friends, having a drink and a good laugh.
